Also they better have "I punched Keanu Reeves, it was better than any scene you could see in speed" trailer with this guy.

Well, the music is still super on point. During the fight with Dex's crew I was getting super pumped to be in this world (plus seeing the arm blades in action after that artwork in the original trailer was SICK!)

Some Cyberpunk lore: Reeves plays rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, the ex-boyfriend of the netrunner Alt Cunningham, who developed a program called Soulkiller that can make a copy of your mind.

According to the marketing material, the plot of 2077 revolves around V "going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality". So, that implant might be Soulkiller and Reeves/Johnny Silverhand is probably a digital copy of the real person.

Wow, I didn't know they were making an Alita: Battle Angel game.

Okay. Now there better be a mission where your smuggle a whole 320 gigs of data in your hear and run into Ice-T working with a dolphin hacker in a tank of water.

EDIT: Also, fun fact: in the original theatrical release of Johnny Mnenomic, Johnny's data capacity was 320 megabytes. They dubbed in the word "gigabytes" in the DVD and blue-ray releases.

Whole sequence had a real renegade path branching choices vibe to me. I doubt this is the only way things go down with this story line. Also the devs previously said the arm blades are a late game unlock so with the player character having them here its probably a part of the story 30-40 hours in anyway.

@lazyaza: To me it looked rather like the end of the tutorial stage, complete with the amnesia analog - finding yourself in the junkyard stripped of abilities.

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm hoping it was a path result too. Given how Dexter criticizes how V did the mission. It would be weird to reveal something like that in a CG trailer. qrdl made an interesting point once Keanu showed up for a major story turn. Whatever is going on, I'm looking forward to it though!

I liked Jackie from that gameplay segment they showed last year. There is that part of the trailer where V tells the car to take them to a hospital. Maybe that happens before V delivers the chip, and V winds up running into Jackie later.

Anyone else not immediately recognize Keanu?
