Whoa you can really tell the differences between this version and PC, quite surprised as usually videos don't convey the differences too well.

Also, if you didn't kill Wrex in the previous game, he'll be back.

The previous game is Earth Defense Force 2017.

This can be a great thing. Picking and choosing to adjust what works on consoles from the already shipped PC version can make this a hit title on XBox. They sold 1 million on the PC so far - if they nail the xbox-version, they could easily sell a couple millions more of this game.

Besides that, I have read in European magazines, CD Projekt is working on a free massive update for the PC version. Sort of "Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition".

As primarily a PC gamer, I'm glad the xbox dudes get to experience the awesomeness of Witcher. With more $ the devs can make an even more awesome game next time.

Also great to see down to earth developers talking about real shit, not just singing praises from every angle in every sentence. Take note this is how dev diaries should be done, not as sleazy marketing promos.

That's also the 360 version. And when that is released all the improvments plus the new content will make it into the PC version for free, making it into Enhanced Edition and all further sales of it further down the road. Just like they did with Witcher 1.

Excellent reason to hold of my second playthrough until the EE comes out on pc.

I hope this game really succeeds on Xbox 360. CD Projekt RED is one of the last great developers out there, after the fall of Valve to f2p and Bioware to the MMO cash cow scene.

I'm really glad they're adding on to Act 3 and tightening the story. The lackluster ending was the Witcher 2's biggest flaw.

Oh sorry when I say PC version I'm just talking about my own experiences because I was playing it on ultra, I never tried any of the lower settings so this is probably more of a shock to me. (obviously I didn't expect it to look the same as PC on ultra, though!)

All of this sounds great, but I just can't shake this feeling that the game is gonna be riddled with bugs. Let's hope I'm wrong.

@1MGB: Why would it be riddled with bugs when its been on the PC for almost a year now, and has had several patches?

@1MGB: When I played it at release it was fine, the only issues were that I couldn't run it as well as I'd like (3 year old PC).

I actually played through the entirety of witcher 2 with a 360 controller. There were some interface rough spots; would be pretty great if they brought any controller improvements they were planning on making back over.

I have no interest in playing this on Xbox360 as I've already finished it (twice) on PC, but I'm super stoked that Xbox owners get to experience how amazingly rich the story in this series is.

My only wish is that they make a more controller friendly interface. Moving around the inventory screen is kind of a nightmare.

Well they said in this video that this is exactly what they're doing for the 360.

Really excited to hear all the updates will transfer into the PC version of the game. I haven't got round to playing it yet and it's just taunting me in my Steam library.

Though they didn't really clarify if it will be in a free update or if I will have to buy the game again...

I wish I hadn't already played and beaten the Witcher 2 on PC so I could play this one.

Major win for the console kids. Shame that they couldn't have held onto this title until the next console gen hit and made it a launch title.

Warner Bros. is publishing this on the 360? They've been on a roll lately.

great news, and good to hear they are taking time to do the xbox version right. I hope it sells well and we get more Witcher games!!!

@Dixperiken: It will be a free update for the PC. They did the same thing for the first game and they're not into charging for DLC.

Can anyone elaborate to me how the PC enhancements will work? I bought the game at release from GOG, but have yet to play or even install it (thought I would have a less godawful system by now). I'm just worried that there will be some sort of secondary check beyond having it on my GOG account.

I upgraded my card just to play W2 on the PC. It was so damn worth it.

I had no idea that the Witcher takes place in the same world as Majoras Mask.

This is making a 2nd play through of The Witcher 2 more enticing but the lack of new game + is still disappointing.

Just started playing it on the PC this week. Goddamn it's a great game so far. Pretty sure if I'd played this last year, it would've been my GOTY, but this is definitely my 2012 2011 GOTY for me.

Oooh, the "dark side." That nefarious realm where people play video games on standardized hardware because of preference and/or cost efficiency. Shame on them for not being able to "ubersample" their graphics.

Sarcasm aside, CD Projekt has done nothing wrong here. A 360 version simply means more people will get to play this excellent game. If anything, PC users are benefiting from it with additional content that might not have existed otherwise, and everyone benefits when developers earn more money because it means they can continue making great games. There is literally no downside to this.
