Live action... the dragon is still CG. Meh. Bring out the real dragons. Also you should be pretty brave to have sex with a dragon.

This trailer isn't for us. It is for the regular crowd that doesn't obsess over video games. I think its a good trailer for what it is trying to do.

Now someone needs to show what an actual Bethesda game would look like in real life. How do humans look without textures? People clipping through the environment? What does a human with an upside down head look like?

I'd argue that if our reality was identical to Skyrim's universe, it would aslo contain dragons.

The set they used reminded me of Winterfell from Game of Thrones.

@jozzy: honestly not much different from what Square has been doing for their games for decades, the difference is they went live actor instead of CG cutscene.. I agree everyone wants to see gameplay.

I think live action is much better then something made from cut-scenes and scripted events (like most FPS trailers). At least people will know right away that this is not gamplay.

Well yeah, but with the CG stuff people might actually think that it is gameplay (more devious?). With a movie everyone knows it's not footage of the game, you can only convey themes and atmosphere of the game that way. Doubt we will ever know how effective such a campaign will be, obviously they think it does and threw a bucket of $$$ at it.

I think the creator of this should have a little meet up with the people working on Game of Thrones~.

This just in, Bethesda Softworks scraps plans to create its latest Elder Scrolls in a sprawling 3D rendered world and instead opts for a FMV game. In a statement released this morning by Pete Hines, the Vice President of Bethesda Softworks, he states "We feel Full Motion Video allows us to focus our efforts to create Skyrim the way we always intended, as the most cinematic fantasy adventure ever created. Our new approach has greatly reduced the bug count normally found in our games and we couldn't be happier". As of this writing the game's director, Todd Howard, could not be reached for comment.
