It is?  That explains a lot.

It's a fun enough game, but they stripped out pretty much everything Supreme Commanderish about it.  It plays closer to a traditional RTS like Red Alert than it does Sup Com.  That isn't necessarily a bad thing; Supreme Commander was interesting, but not without its fair share of problems.

Oh, and Nolan North is in it.  The dialogue is hilariously terrible.

I knew it was coming and it sells for $50. I still haven't seen an RTS game executed well on a console.

Wow.... Looks effortless.  Can they maybe enable gamepad support on the PC version so I can play it like this too?

There seems to be a lot of RTS games on the 360. I wonder why Microsoft still hasn't put in mouse and keyboard support.

You know I can appreciate the effort put into trying to make a RTS work on a console, but really the concept has some fundamental flaws to it that just make it too problematic.

RTS games are what I really miss from PC gaming.

Maybe the likes of the PS Move or Natal will make these games playable from my couch. The idea of using Natal to play any game still seems kind of nuts however... Squat to defecate a power station, and so on.

That said, I've been dicking around with Red Alert 3 on the Xbox, and it's not too bad.

I'm not there yet, but getting there. There's still a lot of interface overhead, though. Just give me a damn mouse.

The controls on this are really good. If you're looking for a base-building RTS for the 360, this is it.

The same reason there is no web browser, it would eliminate the need to have a windows based PC for a good segment of the user base.

FPS games i'm still having trouble adjusting to on consoles, but i can play them. There are even some i couldn't imagine playing on a pc (TimeSplitters).

But this just seems insane to me, especially so for Supreme Commander...
Although i guess 2 isn't quite as bad as the original, which would have been insane, probably was, never bothered trying it.

i wish they came out with a periphial to control RTS better
even if it wasnt a mouse, a gamepad with a trackball would be better

No you cant play DoW2 with a pad. The back of the box does not say that.

How much are you all willing to bet that's Chris Taylor's hands in the lower left?

I hate it when they show the game along side of someone playing a controller.  I mean it's not going to make me jump up and down and it's not going to make me look at the persons hand in motion of what buttons he or she is pressing.
