Looks like a fable game... lets just hope its a hell of a lot better than a fable game.

looks like god of warcraft to me, which i think is a good idea as long as it has a good story and the feel of the combat is fluid.

I'm pretty excited for this game. Hope there will be enough content to justify more than one playthrough.

The combat looks so awesome and fun. Let's hope the quests and story are great too.

Also the hero with the "moon swords" reminds me of Anti-Mage.

OK. I´m officially very excited for this one. Fighting looks interesting, very action based and fast. Release date couldn´t be more convenient, looks like I will just have finished Skyrim and the RPG fiesta just goes on and on. Me like very much

Only true for whole numbers. Considering that the progression in the trees can be of various levels this gives many more potential possibilities. Since it's can be not just fighter + mage in equal measure, but say 2/3rds fighter and 1/3rds mage or the reverse a mage with a dash of fighter.

Given a Level cap of n levels, with a hypothetical one point to invest per level, very small but still..

You have potentially 3^(n-1) combinations, assuming no skill point at level one.

Say there are 50 levels, that's 239299329230617529590083 possible combinations.

Yeah, but there's still only 7 destiny cards. Your 2/3rd fighter 1/3 mage is still gonna be a Battlemage nonetheless.

From what was shown so far there are far more then 7 destiny cards that allow for different skill breakdowns and also destiny cards that are independent of skills.

Can't say I'm very hyped for this game...

Maybe you should actually watch the trailer :) Also the Holy Trinity resembles Tank, Healer, DPS. This game does not have that, at all.

No dude one of the trailers clearly shows 7 destiny card BRANCHES. There's obviously more than 7 destiny cards in total, but alot of them are just better, faster and stronger versions of Battlemages.

Hmm, you are correct I assumed those were for different permutations not just upgrades. There are some extra gameplay ones like I mentioned but class wise there are only 7 paths. That's kind of underwhelming.

Yep, I feel the same way. It looks great, but the "stuttering" when attacking is something that could ruin the game for me. And I hope it won't feel as bad as it looks.

Looks like a lot of fun. I'm always up for checking out an easy to learn, hard to master combat system that's based on timing and mix'n'match skillsets.

Am I crazy? Because I barely even notice the slight stuttering unless I purposely look out for it. I doubt it will affect the combat enough to make it truly irritating.

It's just something I've noticed in a few actiony title releases. God of War and Fable are the two that I can think of at the moment that do it, and I've never really figured out why. Batman: Arkham Asylum (would assume Arkham City as well, though I haven't played it yet) had it go to a nice, smooth slow-mo animation with each combo multiplyer hit, and didn't have the weird stutter that this game has. Darksiders did a great job with the combat also. It's not going to turn me off the game at all, just something I noticed.

I have no idea why it's taken action-RPGs this long to actually even attempt God of War- or Devil May Cry-quality combat, but it's about damn time. I'm gonna make enemies here, but the combat in games like Skyrim is pure garbage. I don't care how deep the system is when they can't nail the basics, like responsive animations (including good hit stuns on enemies), melee with oomph (versus just playing a flailing animation when you hit the buttons), and nailing that feeling of actually connecting with anything. Something that good action games have been nailing for years.

This is a must play. I can't wait! Haven't been this excited for an RPG in a long time...

I wish they'd make a Star Wars RPG like this.
