Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer World Premiere

Good music. Good trailer.
I feel like BF3 is forcing MW3 to get its shit together. This feels like it had much more effort put into it than previous trailers. CoD is a very different style of game from Battlefield, and it looks like they are trying to show that, since a direct competition is suicide. In that regard, CoD is kind of the underdog this time (lol).

After skyrim I will sink way too much time into this.

Considering 90% of the team making the game left before they even started making it I didn't expect anything in the way of a new engine. Still, after playing Black Ops for a year the faster pace of a Modern Warfare could be fun to go back to.

All I saw was a dude reloading and two second shots of iron sights.

ya know im actually not that impressed. Honestly more interested in BF3 or SFxT

Anyone else irritated by how they use a camping enemy sniper to transition to the next scene? Feels like they're telling us that you can either run and gun with all your might with different exciting packages or just camp for the lols.

As long as CoD is shattering sales records year after year, CoD will never be the underdog. It's the Avatar of videogames among core gamers.

This looks familiar. And terrible. They haven't done anything with the gun sounds and the sound in general since call of duty 4. /barf

What mad fakery is this!?! This cannot be Call of Duty as that guy at the end didn't do a 360 degree spin before shooting that other dude with the sniper rifle.

This looks fine, more of the familiar Modern Warfare aesthetics, which I do enjoy. I like seeing that they are including some of the more futuristic weapons like the X25 aerial burst grenade launcher and some weird turrety things. On a second viewing though and looking at the perks I am really irritated by the "3 for e" thing they're pulling with some of the perk's names; i.e. "ST3ADY AIM"

Isn't that truck that appears twice also in an MW2 map?

So, wait, was this trailer was supposed to get people hyped for this game? Because all it did for me was it made me go and watch the BF3 Caspian Boarder trailer again, you know, to see how a game can really change and update itself.

just pointing out that the last set of killstreaks they showed were three extra perks on top the three that you already start with, this along with killstreak kills counting toward your next killstreak, and the killstreaks resetting without the player dying... this game is not about balance, it's about dominate players never dying ever.

It looks EXACTLY like the perks trailer for Call of Duty 4, you know, from 2007. They even reused many of the assets from the previous games.

It's a goddamn shame what a hollow cashgrab this series has become, they should just put a year behind the name, like Madden.

I was excited for Battlefield 3 but I cancelled my pre-order for it. Killzone 3 is good enough and will be my online shooter for the rest of the year. This trailer also reminded me that selling my Black Ops disc before it dropped in value was a good idea. I don't need more of the same with a fresh coat of paint, not judging people who are excited about it though. I only played a little but of the Uncharted 2 online but Uncharted 3 will be my new online game of choice. I just love the verticality of that game.

Two things:

1. Why do I feel like EA must be paying an army of posters to constantly be-little COD while upping BF3 - I wouldn't normally be so paranoid, but the level of fanboy-ism is so high it makes me wonder if it's corporately funded.

2. I'll get both BF3 and MW3 for the same reasons I bought MW2 and BFBC2 - because logically it's not really an either/or choice - I find both games do what they do well - but they offer a completely different experience - COD games tend to play to a faster almost arcade experience, where BF tends to favour patient map movement - plus, vehicles.

Man, that engine is really starting to show it's age. Looks like it's BF3 for me this season. Might give it a rent though, just to see if they managed to make the SP even more stupid and nonsensical than MW2's.
