Tear Down the Studio and Chill

It's weirdly chill to see people setting up/tearing down electronics. I kind miss working with hardware, setting up racks, cabling, etc.

PS: At around the 31 minute mark when it started a music in Portuguese I was like "wtf, how did they found this".

Back to The 3rd Floor: Again

So the main staff is going back into the office on another floor, despite the pandemic coming back strong this Fall and some states already talking about shutting back down for a couple of weeks. Interesting...

@av_gamer: I believe the West Coast crew is getting to build a new studio and it won't be ready until spring 2021 at the earliest.

@kinetic_md: Wait really? But, you'd expect the purchase to go through by then, at which point it would be odd for them to continue using CBS space, wouldn't it? I guess other companies work in those buildings too... So... does the purchase just include the physical buildings too o.o

Still.... "Papa" Vinnie & Alex: The Wolf are part of the reason I'm still Premium here at Giant Bomb, nothing bad should happen with GBEast.

@nameredacted: I'd agree. Plus with the current work remote situation, GBEast and GBWest have been more interconnected which (for me) isn't a bad thing.

As an RV employee myself (not related to anything GB), we are NOT going back into any offices anytime soon. Remember, other companies are in that building (Apple computer is there in some capacity) so I assume the company i work for just worked out leasing some of their unused space till we figure something out more permanent. We don't have any SF offices (yet).

Watching this days later, I instinctively waved back when Jan waved. I don't know if that's the pandemic messing with how I perceive video, or because Jan's just so darn genuine.

Thanks for posting this. It's really weird that I needed this closure, but hey, unprecedented times and whatnot....

Jan probably has reasons, but I'd move those large screens out of the way asap in the process, so I don't have to walk around them.

Can't imagine doing this, well done Jan. I just tidied up my house and it seemed to take days, and your reaction at the start of this video sums up what I thought. Just a shrug and a "how the hell am I gonna do this? where do I start?!"
