Looks nice, might pre-order it on Steam if there's nothing else coming out in February.
Edit: Kingdoms of Amalur also comes out in February. I'll get Jagged Alliance later when it's on sale

Hmm, this might turn out to be better than I expected (given the involved developers and the history of development). Of course, it will not come close to the pure awesomeness that Jagged Alliance 2 is.

So stupidly excited to finally have a new Jagged Alliance game, even if that "new" game is a remake.

Wow, they went really old school with this, huh? I might pick it up.

I used to love Jagged Alliance back in the days but why couldn't they modernize it just a little bit?

Same here. Preordered on Steam. Even if it turns out to be lackluster, 1)I'll gladly toss out ~$30 to keep this genre alive and 2)modders did amazing stuff with JA2, and I'm sure they're looking forward to a new platform to work with.

Man, your game has some problems when 12-13 year older version of it looks better and more exiting.

Have you never played an RTS before? Possible the most tense genre going if you get a good game/play with a friend.

Jesus...between this ,the X-Com announcement and the resurgence of fighting games I feel like I stepped into some kinda 90's time warp. Gald to see its only good game genres and not the hot pink and neon styles.

This will be a great game, Kalypso stands for quality. Like in Dungeons. Oh, wait. No, they don't.

Goddamnit, no destruction at all and not even turn based. Why couldn't they have released the Jagged Alliance 3 they made on the silent storm engine. Aaaaargh

YES, that's exactly what I want. I loved that game. I liked using one of those huge grenades to take out 1/2 a house.

@Vigil80: I preordered it too. I'm of the same mind - even if it's not great right away, I'm sure the modders will make some great things happen. I have absolutely no qualms over shelling out $30 for a new entry in a dormant series I love.

Looking forward to blasting some dudes with Scully and Reuben too!

Hoping for a feature that lets me import my Tropico cities into the game.

I wish this looked more like Silent Storm, the grenade didn't cause any terrain damage and I'm uncertain if their pseudo-turn-based gameplay is going to work.

I see something here. It may not carry, but I am interested. I cirtaintly recognize the title, though I know little about Jagged Alliance. But I am talking about their little trailler here, I might like this.

I suck at tactics games, so a Dave/Vinny/Drew QL will suffice.

Anyway, I really liked the first JA games, so I think I'll go back to playing those.

@Christoffer: It has been modernized a "little" bit. They removed the turnbased gameplay for a "pause and go" style instead. Something they have been ripped a new one over on the games boards, but which I wholeheartedly approve of. I have high hopes for this!

Looks and sounds like shit. And really, play Silent Storm.

There are mods that fix that. It changes the balance a little because you get top-geared elites instead of panzerkliens, which can work for and against you -- but who cares, as long as there are no mech suits the game is way better.

I maintain my previous disdain for fan favorite franchises being revived by d-grade developers.

Someone needs to upgrade from there 56k connection.

All nostalgic quoting aside I really how the Queen isn't as annoying as she was in the original. They skated the fine line between humor and annoyance for me and fell on the wrong side.

Oh man, I need to just hit the 'buy' button on STEAM.

Just picked this one up on Steam for a deep discount. I had played the original and enjoyed it. Thanks guys for the Quick Look. Even though this video is from 2012, it still helped me get excited to play it now. Yet another reason Giant Bomb is worth a membership.
