It's been a loooooong time since the first Shogun, but I always thought feudal Japan was an awesome setting for Total War.

At first I thought it said Shotgun: Total War and I was like whaat? Then, yeah awesome and then ahhh..

Hopefully this isnt bug-riddled like Empire. 

This looks all right, though I'd care more about how it plays

This just shows blizzard have zero vision. I'd almost call them lazy.

I dont care anything about starcraft. Creative assembly and relic RTS's are what i look foward to.

Shogun Total War is still my favourite in the series but a lot of that was how they handled the turn based stuff and not the real time stuff. 
 
Judging from this the real time stuff will be awesome as always, it remains to be seen if I can have Legendary Geisha's assassinate generals with guitar strings.

Maybe if it included more than Japan, but limiting the warfare to only one country/ set of weapons is just a step back IMO

how do you say system hog in japanese? this game will bring my rig to its knees. Creative aren't known for their scaling their games to suit a lot of different computers which is odd seeing as this is a PC only game.

Japanese horses were actually... well... nevermind.

Nice to see Total War revisiting its roots.

I'm pretty sure my computer will commit suicide if I try and make it play this game.

These games have a bit of a higher learning curve but I think it's one of the best pc series out in the market.
One you understand the combat you realize how realistic and dense it is. It also makes you feel smart when you start to decimate the opponents in normal. I am going to try hard in my next total war game.

This looks nice. While the Total War games generally held my interest, I kind of liked Shogun Total War over the other Total War settings, aside from Medieval. 
 
That said, I tend to play the Total War games more like a strategic sim (ala Europa Universalis) than a Tactical RTS.
