These ubisoft "coop" videos need to STOP. They are so bad and no one talks like that. Grr.

@steveurkel: I can't be sure, but that dialogue sounded like it was from an in-game character. It'd be nice if random encounters in console multiplayer were so educational, though.

Does anyone know if I can do this stuff solo or do I have to do it in co-op? I have zero interest in multiplayer Assassin's Creed and none of my friends have a PS4 so there is no way in hell I am going to play with random people.

Im not seeing how this is co-op. I mean, there's 2 of them, sure. But it's not like they're working together. In fact, this seems easier solo.

Being a PC player, I'd be more interested in this game if Ubisoft wasn't involved. Let's see, how many of their co-op games worked well? Umm, can't think of any.

Assuming there are missions which require actual cooperation (unlike this one), has there been any talk on whether you can communicate with co-op partners in any way?

I just dont understand what is the point in playing these missions in a co-op since the fights in Assasins Creed games are traditionally so easy that you can just play through those mission on your own.

Also those elaborate co-op missions shown in E3 and other trade show presentations rarely represent the reality of the normal co-op experience. Those demos are usually very carefully scripted on who does what and how. Normally one player just goes gung-ho and starts killing enemies withouth any plan to use stealth.

Man, this looks dull. Why would your gameplay demo for press be a sewer level? I don't know if this game is going to do it for me, but they've shown clips from it that look far more interesting than this.

This... looks really boring. They just walked down a sewer and stabbed all the lone guards in their way. The first dude could've just done it by himself.

I don't doubt that there are co-op missions in Unity that demand cooperation and strategy, but they couldn't have chosen a less representative example.

Think i'll wait for next years. I like what their B team did with AC4. Unless there is something more compelling than say, a one button lockpicking mechanic. This looks like more generic ass AC.

If this coop is offered in splitscreen it could be a seller as something I can play with the wife who is also a fan of this series, but I seriously doubt it will be offered.

What about like some sort of coop option that works with the vita so you don't need to split screen? Yeh it will never happen.

My first thought.

Also "The more you get detected, the more the prize goes down" needs a little lore behind it like rumors of intruders means guards steal treasure from the chest.

Best stealth co op games for sure; the ending of Conviction co op was awesome. I love how in this demo "stealth" is jumping off buildings into wagons...

In AC detection is standing in broad daylight in front of a dude for 30 seconds, anything less than that and you are completely invisible.

I think it's more of a tack-on coop. AC series was never about working with people and this is their first branch into lets work in coop stuff. Even the stuff you can think about in COOP that takes 2 people is artificial. Oh 2 people have to press 2 different buttons at the same time. Could just as easy be 1 button or such. Even the coop stuff that is like "shoot 2 people around the same time" has enough give that I can shoot them both at around the same time and be fine because of lag compensation and etc.

All in all I don't see any major game being "COOP required" or such. You can solo through almost all COOP games.

I think it's safe to say that at this point any pre-release footage of a multiplatform game displaying xbox button prompts is likely the PC version. Considering Xbox One games are still pretty regularly behind PS4 (and certainly PC) in terms of visuals/performance, few developers are going to showcase that version.

Where's the sarcastic remarks in the title or subtitle about how many Assassin's Creed trailers there are?!? If those stop, I've no reason to care about these things.
