Welcome To The Red Zone in Prototype 2

not sure if i'm interested yet...

I've clearly completely forgotten how proto 1 ends.

I really enjoyed the first one....so yeah I fully expect this to be a great game.

As time goes by I forget all the bad parts of prototype and remember all the brilliant and ridiculous parts. Hoping they can keep more of the latter and less of the former for the sequel.

I'm guessing Mercer is still a total prick, but I'll give it a shot.

I enjoyed the first so I'll at least be interested in a sequel. Keep it on my radar, if nothing else.

Say what you will about the first one, but I contend it was a perfectly competent God-fantasy game. It did a pretty good job at making you feel ridiculously powerful. Might pick this up...

I wish I coule get behind this. I did with the first one but it was just too much a pain in the ass. Well aside from launching fools off a building.

I kind of don't get this. so your a dude who kind of looks like alex mercer and you kind of share the same powers and kinda wear the same type outfits, and you going after him? If your supposed to be a good guy why is the army chasing after you? and if your the badguy trying to kill Mercer why would the government try and help you after what you did in the first game?

Oh well. I shall wait and see how this game turns out I guess. As long as all of the dumb shit that was in the first one is fixed them im okay with this.

Infamous 2 and Prototype 2 trailers coming out at the same time? Guess who still doesn't know the difference! THIS GUY.

I liked the first game, for all of it's flaws, I hope this one turns out better.

@DMack:Uuuuhhh what?inFamous 2 came out months ago so....what do you mean?Besides it's easy Prototype is about a guy with a virus that makes him able to shapeshift his body and parts of it.inFamous is about a guy who has lighting powers and depending on his karma it turns blue or red.And something about fire and ice in 2 I think...

@Agent47: Oh, hah! I missed the boat on the first games but they sounded similar. And now I just found out about both sequels on the site within a couple days of each other.

@m0rdr3d: Well, Mercer is the main bad dude this time around.

It's a little disconcerting that they're still not showing much gameplay but I remain hopeful for Prototype 2. If they cut back on a lot of the dumb mini-games & repetitiveness that shackled the first game then it should be promising. That game had some fantastic traversal mechanics.

I'm hoping for even less than the non existant story of the past, and more sandbox epic-ness

I would not want to go to the red zone.

When I finally played the original (after being buried in Infamous hype) I thought it was awesome - better then Infamous in a lot of ways (inferior in others).

This looks just like more Prototype. I got my fill the first time frankly, and they don't seem to be showcasing any real interesting powers. It just looks like we'll be playing a black Alex Mercer. Here's to hoping I'm wrong. I know his back story is completely different, but that doesn't mean that the gameplay is.

So they're really making another one of these, huh? Mistake #1: Open world game set in New York. Pick a different city. Please.

I didn't play the first game, but a sequel revolving around becoming powerful enough to kill the first protagonist is really cool to me, and the little bit of gameplay I've seen of this looks really good. I'll probably play the first one in the mean time.
