    Overview

Tetris 64 is a falling-block puzzle game developed by Amtex and published by SETA for the Nintendo 64 exclusively in Japan on November 13, 1998.

Part of the Tetris series, Tetris 64 builds on the traditional game of Tetris with two alternate and exclusive game modes:

    • Giga Tetris, which makes use of tetrominoes with blocks that are double the normal size. When a 2×2 block is cleared, it is instead transformed into two 1×2 dominoes that fall independently (potentially causing a chain reaction).
    • Bio Tetris, which makes use of SETA's Bio Sensor ear clip add-on (sold separately). Tracking the player's heart sensor, it gives the player easier pieces (single blocks, dominoes, trominoes, and long pentominoes) on a faster heart rate and harder pieces (pentominoes) on a slower heat rate. This allows the possibility of a five-line clear.

The Tetris and Giga Tetris modes can be played in multiplayer for up to four players (named "Familiss" after the same mode in Super Tetris 3), while Bio Tetris can be played with up to two players.
