    Overview

Type:Rider is a game about the history of fonts and typography. As well as a 'standard' video game, a Facebook app was also produced (allowing people to create custom sentences) as well as a version specifically designed for educational and cultural facilities.

The player controls a colon (:) in the manner of a reversible motorbike, rolling and jumping around physics-based 2D levels. Each font has four chapters of either puzzle- or action-based platforming; action levels require the player to navigate various obstacles and themed on the font and relevant history, while puzzle levels require the player to get extra orbs (effectively just full stops, or small circles) to the level exit.

Each font's chapters have 37 collectibles: each letter of the alphabet, the ampersand (&), and six asterisks. The asterisks are not required and often harder to collect, but provide illustrated histories of the font.
