    Overview

Eden Rising is a science fiction-fantasy themed cooperative Tower Defense game that takes place in an open world. It was developed by Nvizzio Creations and Meridian4. The game is currently available on Steam.

Up to 8 players can join forces forming a tribe of nomadic humans in an alien world. They must explore the landscape, gather materials and craft items including weapons, armor, traps and turrets. In order to grow in power and unlock new technologies, the tribe must restore each of the ancient Crucibles that can be discovered in the world. In an event called a Siege the Crucible will begin to reboot and upgrade itself, leaving it vulnerable to attack. Players must utilize traps and turrets in addition to a variety of weapons to fend of waves of attacking monsters.

    Plot

A group of human explorers become stranded on the alien world of Eden. Dying in the poisonous alien atmosphere, players are approached by an entity known as The Steward. The ancient AI created by a powerful race known as the Ascendants, integrates its technology into the players human bodies. In return for their lives and newly granted powers, they are tasked with defending and restoring each of the ancient Crucibles.

    Gameplay

Players begin the game in the Valley of the Ascendants, a large open valley with a Crucible at its center. They are encouraged to activate the Crucible, which deploys a large protective dome, making it a sanctuary for the tribe to heal and store gathered items. Only one Crucible can be active at a time.

Through exploring the biomes of Eden and collecting useful materials, players can unlock crafting technologies to equip themselves with basic weapons and armor, and craft simple traps. The world is populated with wild roaming monsters and environmental hazards to overcome. Traps and turrets can be deployed in the open world to ambush enemies and weaken them, many encounters require strategy and teamwork to overcome.

When players are prepared they can return to the Crucible to trigger a Siege. The dome of the Crucible will deactivate as the Crucible reboots itself to grow in power. During this time monsters will attack from one or more lanes leading to the Crucibles center. Players can utilize crafted traps and turrets to slow and weaken the advance of monsters while they fight to finish them off. If the Crucible is destroyed, the siege is failed and players must start over.

Sieges escalate in difficulty as more are successfully completed and reward players with upgrades, increased power used to place more defenses, and new technologies for crafting.
