So I was going to get the demo of this game to see what's up with it, mostly because I've never played any game of the turn-based strategy type before, and I was told that there was an error and I needed a subscription. I Google'd this real quick before making this thread and didn't find anything saying that I needed a subscription, so does anyone have any idea what's up with this or has something just gone horribly wrong?

I had this same problem, I restarted steam and it works, Steam seems to be a real crap shoot sometimes.

@Dagbiker: It just needs a restart for any sort of update to game statuses it seems still, I still have to restart to start playing pre-loaded games and what not. It has felt for a long time that the people that are actively working on the desktop client don't move too fast, the chat doesn't even save it's history for christs sake... basic features man, super basic shit that steam still doesn't do, or doesn't very poorly.
