I have decided to make lengthy backstories for all of my characters. Means so much more when they succeed and impacts you so much harder when they die.

Behold my Whiskey Media Strike Force! They're about to assault the alien base so this may be the last time we see any of them alive (playing on Ironman mode)

love to be seeing some dudes with helmets on, I think those look pretty bad-ass, and been wondering why I don't see more of those in the streams.

Just the nicknames the game came up with. Tried to customize them based on the role, and country of origin.

Look who just showed up in my barracks. I didn't edit the name. That's what the game gave me.

The Volunteer who two-shot the final boss. I think his final kill count was 130-140.

Anyone hit triple digit kills with a soldier yet, I think Jose here has the most kills out of all my men. I have a couple snipers who are close though.

I named a rookie after my ex....she died on the first mission....go figger

yeah, during the tutorial mission I had a soldier named Stephen King die on me.

4 of them psionics

Mc Manus has been there from the very start, first mission survivor, first psionic.

Hansen and Samad are kind of bro's (not by birth).

Parks is a long time sniper has also been there almost from the start, lots of injuries sadly left her with a shitt Will but she still rocked it as a sniper.

Popova was a relatively late addition aquired on a mission, is an excellent heavy and psionic. Her skill setup greatly benefited from heavies that came before.

Jaiteley came to the squad also a bit late like Popova, but was a raw recruit, leveled incredibly fast, both ladies have 98-99 base will.

I've been lucky enough to keep the same set of peeps around since the beginning, or very early on. Sadly this means a lot of their Will is lower than a freshly leveled recruit could be but WHATEVER I LOVE MY GUYZ! Patch has a reg. pistol cause I find it hard to get the enemy HP into a viable location for successful stunz if everyone is blowing 4-6 hp pips away with their pistols etc, he's the control man!

I dinged the 500 aliens killed achievement this morning. This lad is responsible for 150 of those.

And this lass is responsible for 114 of them. More than half of those were from these two. o_o

They're like OP hero units.

On my classic ironman run, these are the heroes that will assault the final mission... wish em luck!

I have a sniper I have nicknamed "air ball". He would have difficulty hitting the broad side of an aircraft hangar at 10 paces. D:

This is crazy, Carl Winslow was literally the first solider I named LOL. I've been sticking to certain name templates for each class type so I can more easily identify people's abilities when I swapping through them. All of my Assaults are named after police officers, and wear blue uniforms haha

The team i took for the 1st ( of many?) alien base. They all made it back :)
