    Overview

Hero Must Die (Yuusha Shisu) is a Japanese role-playing title developed by Pyramid and Shoji Masuda, a famed game designer responsible for creating several cult classic series including Linda Cube and Oreshika. The game is about a typical hero of a fantasy RPG that dies right after killing the final boss in his adventure, The Demon King. However, even with the Demon King defeated, the world still faces many problems, so god gives the hero five more days of life in order to fix all the unresolved issues in the planet the hero just saved. Hero Must Die is a re-imagining of a mobile phone RPG of the same name that was originally released by G-Mode in 2007. The remake features new artwork drawn by Tetsu Kurosawa, a redone polygonal presentation, new story content, and an arranged soundtrack by Kenji Ito. Nippon Ichi published Hero Must Die for the PlayStation Vita and released the game in Japan on February 25, 2016. Years later, Degica Games translated Hero Must Die into English as "Hero Must Die. again" and released the title on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC in February 2020.
