Even as I have not seen the movie 300, I am no less aware of the meme that originated around the lead actor's overy dramatic declaration that "This is SPARTA!"
This old joke just gained some bonus hilarity for me as I reviewed its scene of origin and came to the realization that the messenger that gets kicked into the Pit of Death in this iconic scene is played by none other than Peter Mensah, known to me and many other Dead Space fans as the voice and likeness of Zach Hammond. It is he who proclaims "This is madness!" thus prompting the famous reponse from King Leonidas, "Madness? This is SPARTA!"
