    Overview

Zero-4 Champ is a series of seven racing games from Media Rings Corporation. The games tend to feature anime-heavy story modes, resembling the anime Initial D and other street-racing franchises, and the races are all straight drag races. The player can buy and modify cars to ensure the fast acceleration needed to win, and the rest depends on the player's skill in switching gears as efficiently as possible.

The series began on the PC Engine in 1991 with the original Zero-4 Champ, with a PC Engine CD sequel in 1993. The next two games were released on the Super Famicom. The series would then move to the Sega Saturn, PlayStation and PlayStation 2.
