Zooey Deschanel is a gifted singer and an actress with a highly effervescent personality. Her acting career kicked off in 1998 with a small role in a television show called "Veronica's Closet," and only one year later she was in her first film, "Mumford." The following year she played the role of Anita Miller in one of her most-notable movies, "Almost Famous." Mrs. Deschanel's career in acting continued on from there as she played varied big and small roles in numerous movies and TV shows. A few specific examples of these works include roles in: "The New Guy," "Elf," "Live Free or Die," "Surf's Up," "Tin Man," "The Simpsons," Yes Man," and, of course, "(500) Days of Summer." For all the movies Zooey Deschanel has been in, its hard to believe that acting isn't her dream job.
On March 18, 2008, She & Him released their first album simply titled: "Volume One." She & Him, the indie/rock band formed by the singing styles of Zooey Deschanel and the guitar expertise of M. Ward, is the true focus of Mrs. Deschanel. "Volume One" was perceived extremely well and lead the duo to their second album cleverly named, "Volume Two," released two years later on March 23, 2010. "Volume Two" had a similar, if not better, reaction, hopefully meaning we'll be seeing a third album coming soon likely to be entitled "Volume Three."
Unfortunately, the only area that is lacking in Mrs. Deschanel's resume is the video games credit section. Currently, the only game she is affiliated with is the video game adaptation of the movie Surf's Up. In the game, she is the voice talent of Lani Aliikai, just like in the movie. Although her video game acknowledgements are nowhere near the amount of recognition she has for acting or music making, we can certainly hope to see much more of her in the future!
