    I think so.  Even though the newer ones got rid of stone to help streamline resource gathering.  It introduced the unique unit.  And the castle is hella powerful.

    I still play AoE2 with my friends through a lan hub to this day- To me I think this is the best game ever made.

    Definitely, AOEII is the best of the series. So many different units to control, a huge number of tactics and strategy, and just plain fun. Nothing like destroying walls with nothing but Chu-ko-nu archers *grins*
