Chahi-Designed 'Project Dust' Announced By Ubisoft

Play God in Chahi's new world in 2011

French designer Eric Chahi, the man behind Another World and Heart of Darkness, has emerged from his secret hiding spot to work on a new downloadable title. Project Dust, according to Chahi, is a "spiritual heir to Populous" that will have its users playing God in a world ravaged by environmental catastrophes.

In Project Dust, you'll be interacting with the game's ravaged world by manipulating the earth, water, and even vegetation. You'll also be able to dig craters and breach lakes, all in the name of providing "a safe place" to Dusts' tribal denizens.

The oh-so-brief teaser trailer presented at Ubisoft's thrilling E3 2010 press briefing neglected to point out the games genre, but it did provide a cool look at a visually impressive downloadable--a downloadable set to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN in Spring 2011, according to Chahi.

== TEASER == UPDATE: I really meant to type "Another World" instead of "Out of This World."
