Cross Country Move Tips?

I just found out I'll be moving from the Washington, D.C area to Washington, Seattle sometime later this year for work. Details and timing are still being arranged, but I'm looking for tips from anyone who's made a similar move. My last big move was from Ohio to DC 11 years ago. I'm already 99.9% sure I'l be hiring movers to at least move me, if not also pack or do some of the packing. Any words of wisdom would be hugely helpful!
