If you mean drive-thru then no..

They don't have DBOX where I live. :(

It's practically non-existent in the UK.

In fact, gimmicky seats have largely fizzled out, even the super comfy ones. The multiplex I go to doesn't even bother with them.

Also, Roger Ebert said it wasn't art.

No Dbox near me or else I would.

I keep saying I'll use Dbox for a really fun movie like Pacific Rim but then the price always steers me away at the last minute. Hopefully I get to try it out at least once, seems fun.

No dbox in the UK or I'd totally go for it.

I'm going to see Pacific Rim tonight in RealD 3D and D BOX. I'm pretty stoked, should be awesome. I just hope it isn't too much for my dad, he's in his sixties.

I don't live within 250 miles of a Dbox theater, so nope never been.

There are no DBOX theaters in my area.

D-BOX is dumb, but it's the right kind of dumb. I heartily recommend you try it if you can.

Never tried DBOX. Don't think any theaters in my area have it. I really want to try it, though, just to see what it's like.

No DBOX here unfortunately

What the hell is DBOX?

A movie theater seat with force feedback, from what I understand.

Oh. Well, I'm already pretty annoyed when I can't turn that crap off on a controller. Lucky me, I don't think there are any theaters that do Dbox around here.

If there were more than 3 DBOX theaters in Illinois, I would've gone to see Pacific Rim in one today. Sadly, there are not, and the ones that are here are too far away to be worth it. I would really love to try it someday, though. Sounds really stupid.

I've never heard of this sorcery

I recently found out there are THREE DBox theaters around me, but I've already seen Pacific Rim. Maybe next time.

I live near an IMAX and another theatre that runs movies in 3-D, but no DBox.

Yep. :( It sounds really dumb, I'd try it.

My minimal google research tells me there isn't one in my town. If it weren't for giantbomb I wouldn't even know what they are.

Wanted to see Pacific Rim in Dbox, turns out I'd also have to see it in 3D and a ticket would cost 22 dollars. It seems interesting but not at that price.

Lies! I went to Cineworld in Milton Keynes just the other day and saw Man of Steel in Dbox. It was pretty hilarious.

From what I can tell, there's not a single on in the state of West Virginia, and the closest one to where I live is a state away, so I've never done it.

... I live near MK, this could be a game-changer.

Well, I'd like to try it out, but as this is the UK, it would probably break some sort of health & safety regulation

#29 Posted by MrJorOwe (282 posts) -

Don't believe there is one anywhere near me, if at all in my country. There used to be this "4D" screen a few hours away, it was part of this centre that you'd go to on school trips and such. Was only about 20 seats, and they only had 15 minute specially made reels to show. Was kinda what I assume Dbox is like, except you'd get sprayed with mist, wind would blow throught etc where appropriate. Was pretty cool as a 10 year old.

DBOX is pretty spendy but if you find the right movie it is completely worth it. Tech should get cheaper and more prevalent so hopefully in the near future more people can access it.

I wouldn't want it for all movies but popcorn-summer action flicks are ideal.
