Do you like watching movies in a DBOX seat?
It's practically non-existent in the UK.
In fact, gimmicky seats have largely fizzled out, even the super comfy ones. The multiplex I go to doesn't even bother with them.
Also, Roger Ebert said it wasn't art.
I'm going to see Pacific Rim tonight in RealD 3D and D BOX. I'm pretty stoked, should be awesome. I just hope it isn't too much for my dad, he's in his sixties.
Never tried DBOX. Don't think any theaters in my area have it. I really want to try it, though, just to see what it's like.
What the hell is DBOX?
A movie theater seat with force feedback, from what I understand.

Oh. Well, I'm already pretty annoyed when I can't turn that crap off on a controller. Lucky me, I don't think there are any theaters that do Dbox around here.
If there were more than 3 DBOX theaters in Illinois, I would've gone to see Pacific Rim in one today. Sadly, there are not, and the ones that are here are too far away to be worth it. I would really love to try it someday, though. Sounds really stupid.
I recently found out there are THREE DBox theaters around me, but I've already seen Pacific Rim. Maybe next time.
My minimal google research tells me there isn't one in my town. If it weren't for giantbomb I wouldn't even know what they are.
Lies! I went to Cineworld in Milton Keynes just the other day and saw Man of Steel in Dbox. It was pretty hilarious.
From what I can tell, there's not a single on in the state of West Virginia, and the closest one to where I live is a state away, so I've never done it.

... I live near MK, this could be a game-changer.
Well, I'd like to try it out, but as this is the UK, it would probably break some sort of health & safety regulation
Don't believe there is one anywhere near me, if at all in my country. There used to be this "4D" screen a few hours away, it was part of this centre that you'd go to on school trips and such. Was only about 20 seats, and they only had 15 minute specially made reels to show. Was kinda what I assume Dbox is like, except you'd get sprayed with mist, wind would blow throught etc where appropriate. Was pretty cool as a 10 year old.
