Gamers have been patiently waiting for news on Persona 5. This isn't much, but it's somethin'.

Why? Because. Because why? Because yes.

These are the reasons--the only reasons anyone should need, frankly--why Atlus has decided to produce a fighting game based on Persona 4, called Persona 4 The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena.

The news comes from the latest issue of Famitsu in Japan, courtesy of Sinobi and translated by Andriasang.

In development at Arc System Works, the developers of BlazBlue, the game features characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4 but chronologically takes place after the events of Persona 4.

It's coming out in arcades first next spring, followed by a release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 that summer.

Atlus is also releasing a revamped version of Persona 4 for PS Vita called Persona 4 The Golden, sporting some new upgrades and tweaks, such as a new character named Mary and more voice acting.

There's also a little thing called Persona 5, which is coming...eventually. But it is coming.
