2015 -- Favorites
Here are my top picks from the games I played in 2015. Like my other list, my criteria is simply what I remember liking the best.
Honorable mentions this year (not on my other list) include Valdis Story and ORAS.

There are few games I "100%" and even fewer I'm excited about when I do. Axiom Verge had the same kind of atmosphere, subtle storytelling and exploration as Super Metroid. It also had its own cool and unique gameplay mechanics.
Aside from its solid campaign gameplay, incredibly well-balanced multiplayer and new (if thin) co-op missions, StarCraft II is also still an exciting game to watch.
I played several great co-op games in 2015 and Card Hunter was my favorite overall. And the emotion! I could sense a little sadness in those man-eating trogs.
Forced had a great mix of co-op focused combat and puzzle-solving with a little progression. The story was funny and kind of cheesy... "He's attacking you through me!"
Downwell hits a sweet spot for me. It was challenging enough that it felt like an accomplishment to beat, but had an engaging difficulty curve. The randomness and variety also gave the gameplay a lot of legs.
Sure, parts of the game were serviceable but I had a lot of fun playing it co-op.
The Fall didn't have the best gameplay, but the story, storytelling and atmosphere were memorable.
My first visit to Tyria in two or more years. I tried a few MMOs this year, but GW2 still scratches the itch better than others (probably since it isn't as involved).
This entry is more for the "core" Shadowrun franchise, since I played all three this year. I'll give a slight nod to Hong Kong since I liked its characters and dialog the most.
The Last of Us deserves its acclaim. Glad to have finally played this one.
