Super excited about SSFIV (no pun intended), find myself with the dilema of what system to buy it for. I have the original for the 360 but later found out most of my friends picked up the PS3 version instead, I want to be able to throw down with those dudes online but also would like to keep it on the 360 for achivements...

More people on here play 360.

More people in total have it on PS3.

I like the 360 community much more.... in general.

A choice between friends and achievements? Now that's a tough one.

More of the top players play on the PS3 I believe.  Most get the PS3 version in the hopes of better competition (a.k.a. Japan).  I have the 360 because thats were all of my friends play.

SF4 is ALL about local. Online is ok, especially if you're playing with a group of people you know to talk to. So take what you will from that.

I was reading on neogaf this morning while giantbomb was down, some people saying that the online runs much better on the 360.  I would think based on looking at the people on giantbomb that play SF4, most people will buy it for 360.

Having made the switch to 360 recently I can confirm that the online works much better (talking bout SFIV, haven't got Super yet). It seems easier to find good connections, plus on PS3 it took ages to connect once you chose a game, on 360 it's almost instantaneous.

Since I still don't have a PS3 this is an obvious choice. If I had both versions to choose from, I would go for the one with more online friends/players as the new online modes sound like fun.

I like the PS3 version more, but I'm also bound to it because that's the system that I've got two arcade sticks for.

Yeah, choose the one where your friends are at, in this case, PS3.
