Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Reveal Trailer

Judging by this logo, this 3DS RPG will either take the P3 and P4 casts into some kind of weirdo hippie freakout or an episode of Scooby-Doo. Same difference.

Yeah, and I'd also really, REALLY not want an easy peasy dungeon crawler grind out of this. A DC loses alot of its reason for existing when you can traipse thru it (most of EO3, SMT:SJ, and P4:G). Again, "FOE! FOE! FOE!!!"

From what I remember hearing on the stream last night, I think the Japanese commentators were discussing how you choose one of the two protagonists to be the leader of the main party, which confers different effects upon them as a result. I don't think they got into specifics, but it sounds like the development team is indeed trying to incentivize different party configurations to at least some degree. I was busy translating other stuff for people listening, so I didn't necessarily catch everything they were saying in great detail, but I'm pretty sure they brought that up at least.

Neat! Always good to have translators working on this stuff. Alot of valuable info like that doesn't get described everywhere.

One thing to keep in mind that has never played in the QL's (one of those "a better player" gripes Vinny mentioned to Muir and Green) is that Etrian Odyssey lies to you about everything. It gives you what looks like minor character creation options with a choice of character class like you are creating individuals for your party when what you are really doing is essentially adding branches of a skill tree to a Voltron-like gestalt character. The PARTY is what you take into dungeons and the synergy not just between classes but specific abilities of a class with others is the real secret to the game because of the way one system interacts with another. It's a great series and just don't be afraid to experiment. Good luck.

I am a huge Persona fan, I am up in the air about this....I am not a fan of the art but the logo is amazing. Fuck it, buying a 3DS for this.. I bought a vita for 4.

Looks like I'll be getting a 3DS XL next year. Chibi Mitsuru demands it (she's very strict).

I would love it if they made an anime to go with this. Just a one-shot OVA for laughs.
