The Ultimate Warrior Wants You To Buy Something

You can tell The Ultimate warrior has been out of pro wrestling for a while because at 50 seconds he actually made contact with the guy's face.

He still skronks. Great.

I also thought Ultimate Warrior was dead.

I really have to wonder how much of this was scripted and how much of it was the Warrior being, well, himself.

It looks like they used the models from the WWE All*Stars arcade game... but even then that's kind of insulting to that game as those models still looked better I think.

2k is making wrestling games now?

If you are talking about the gameplay footage at the end...yeah I thought those models looks like crap. Like it was an action figure wrestling game.

I usually try and defend these games, but honestly, I don't think I'm going to be buying the game this year. At least, not immediately. I'm sure it's going to be the same as WWE 13, which i'm partly OK with if they do truly improve on the actual gameplay and fix the Universe mode a bit so there are more cutscenes.. I actually like WWE 13, but after you got done with the really fun Attitude Era mode, it just wasn't that fun to play anymore unless you take pleasure in booking matches and stuff like that with Universe mode. If they announce that we're going to get a full-fledged season mode and they've improved the gameplay a bit and maybe add in just a bit more in terms of creation modes (although there is quite a bit in WWE 12), I'll at least get this game when it goes down in price.

1. Game looks bad. If "hair tech" is the standard by which wrestling games should be measured, this is several leaps backwards.

2. Ultimate Warrior looks better than I guessed he would.

3. I'm reminded of how depressing it is that wrestlers don't protect themselves physically and financially throughout their careers. Why can't any wrestlers just retire and live happily without needing to make a little scratch in the ring when they're 75?

So this year's edition with 20% more racism, 34% more homophobia, and 100% more batshit crazy?

Was really pumped, first wrestling game I might buy in decades... then I saw the graphics :/

1st minutes or so: "Ha, look at the Ultimate Warrior! Look at him go! Love me some Ultimate Warrior!"

Last 10 seconds: "Whoa, that game looks like shit."

I may just have to pre-order this now!

I suspect there is a good reason why they only show about 4 seconds of of game play. Although I loved the way he hit that poor guy in the face with the DVD case.
