Worth Jamming: Ludum Dare

Hey, I just noticed my game (Jetpack Nemesis) in this video, thanks!

The jetpack recharges if you don't use it for a couple of seconds, btw ;)

So 10 Seconds Quest seems unplayable now due to some sort of Japanese pop-up ad that overlays on top of the game and I can't seem to close it.

Antidote is reminding me heavily of those Sparx worlds from Spyro 3, but it's been so long since I played the game that it's possible my memory is bullshitting me.

Weird seeing this video in the steam page for Mr. President. Was that cleared by GB?

Couldn't watch past the first game. Being able to see all the objects in the environment, then hearing Patrick say he needs to read the logs to unlock the items was far too infuriating.

Can always rely on Patrick to show us some interesting stuff. Fascinating.

Using the opportunity to plug my Ludum Dare 27 submission IMPETUS, a game that was created to die in 10 seconds unless players cooperate and keep it alive.

It was “gone” only 12 hours after release (due to news coverage and too many players playing at once, which resulted in my web hoster pulling the plug), but there was a lot to be learned from the experience. I really liked Clockwork Cat and would like to play a full game of it. Emily Escape also seemed like something I could play (really loved the reload sound on the shotgun). The music to Injured Eternity (the first game) was fantastic.

Emily Escapes reminds of the escape sequence from the movie Hanna. Especially the music and the surveillance camera perspective.

Clockwork Cat, Antidote, Emily Mr. President and Flooded Dungeon looked impressive.

Great feature. I love the early 80's aesthetic of many of these games.

No doubt, I enjoyed the hell outta watching Patrick play these games! BUT, did he say he had a review code for AMNESIA: A Machine For Pigs?! I can't freaking wait!!

If there are more that are as equally entertaining as this group you should do another video. Very entertaining. Amazing what can be done in less than 48hrs.

Also to kill Jimi, i think you were supposed to kill all the fans. Just guessing of course.

Teleportant is a cool premise, the actual game isn't so good though.

Great coverage, Patrick! I think this jam was a perfect demonstration that creativity is fostered, not hindered, by constraints. Keep sending these postcards from the edge!

@weegieanawrench: Thanks for checking it out. The good thing is, a full run is about 5 mins, so there's always room for one more try. It's a very 'lite' game.
