    But I really enjoyed the demo, and I don't know if I should give it a chance, what do you guys think? could I still really enjoy the game?

    40k is basically a pastiche of sci-fi and fantasy cliches (and I mean that lovingly), so you shouldn't have a problem following it.

    If you liked the demo, I say go for it - the focus of the game is on combat, not the story. As long as you're not actually repelled by the universe and the fiction, you should be able to follow along.

    A lot of people only got into WH40k because of the strategy games, don't see why Space Marine couldn't do the same.

    If you find something in the game you don't get then there's always Lexicanum which will explain anything.

    Go pick up Horus Rising, it's a great start if you want to get into the fiction (I just started reading last month). Also, this game is awesome either way.

    Very well said... though it's been around long enough that some of the things that are cliche today originated with the universe long ago... not all of them of course, but a few.
