The metric system is superior, but honestly: imagine trying to get 65% of the EU to convert to imperial. That's the nightmare of trying to move the United States to the metric system. 326 million people living in what are essentially 50 separate countries as far as education and transportation jurisdiction are concerned, does not add up to any sort of decent transition.
And while I'm at it, folks using metric need to start using the decimeter. It's always "centimeter" this, and "meter" that. The decimeter is just the right length to be useful for describing the dimensions of objects, but nobody ever uses it.
He's also being praised and talked about, like you said, so is putting even more exposure on him and his game. There's no bad publicity.
I don't know, I'm a lot less interested in the game now. I'm all for passionate creators, but his failure to recognize his position as guest and not host just made him look like an asshole. It was a very Kanye West "I'mma let you finish" moment.
But really, all kart racers suck. They're all the fun of racing games, missing only the variety of vehicles, the modification/career modes, good music, handling that at all correlates to real driving, and a sense of speed.
At some point I'll definitely complete Super Metroid and A Link to the Past. Definitely.
I played about 70% of the first LoZ a couple years ago, and feel that's adequate to remove it from my backlog. Link to the Past was the other Zelda game that's in my stack of important games I've never played.
But I bought a 3DS a couple of weeks ago and it came with LttP, so I'm scratching the surface with the intent to actually play it. Shut up, Navi, I know I have to go to Death Mountain...
