So this was a game that I actually wound up liking at release. There were definitely some aspects of it that I didn't particularly care for, but the more I played it and experimented with my playstyle, the more I began to understand that I am a OCD completionist (something the game clearly tells you not to do). Well... they recently put out a 1.1 patch that addresses quite a few problems that I still had playing the game, and hopefully will allow the game to more easily open up to more players.
One of the developers has put up a blog post about the changes that went into this new version of the game. How many changes were there? Well... he says there are roughly 194 pages worth of detail in the release notes. That's pretty crazy.
If you're interested in reading about it, you can find the blog post here http://christophermpark.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/reflections-on-valley-without-winds.html. If you haven't come back to the game in awhile... maybe consider doing that too!
