An amulet is a type of jewelry similar to a pendant. What makes amulets special is that they always contain some form of magical power, which they bestow upon the wearer. This power can be a form of protection or warding, or it may enhance the wearer's strength, intelligence, stamina, or other attributes. Amulets tend to be quite rare and valuable, especially depending on the potency of the amulet. On the opposite end of the spectrum are cursed amulets; these are especially dangerous because they can inflict negative effects on the wearer. They may also have spells attached to them that make them difficult to remove, either by inhibiting the wearer's will, or by causing pain or physical discomfort if any attempt is made to remove the cursed amulet.
