Andrei Kirilenko was born in Izhevsk, Russia but grew up in St. Petersburg, Russia. He played for Spartak St. Petersburb and CSKA Moscow before being drafted in the NBA. But he remained with CSKA Moscow until 2001 when he agreed to play for the team that drafted him, the Utah Jazz. While with the Jazz he has been a major shot-blocker.
Kirilenko played with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2012-2013 season, before joining the Brooklyn Nets on July 12, 2013, where he still plays.
In 2004 he was an NBA All-Star. He is 6'9", weighs 235 lbs. and mainly plays small forward.
