In many games the player is given the power to harm and or kill creatures. Many games have been brought to spotlight by groups like the rather militant PETA.
An aggressive species of extra-dimensional insects, antlions are a common foe that Gordon Freeman encounters during his adventures across Half-Life 2 and its episodic installments.
Badgers are creatures that have short legs and are part of the Weasel-family. They appear in video games every so often and are part of an old-school internet meme.
Usually yellow and black striped, these flying, flower loving loving insects can come singly or in a swarm. A major producer of honey and stings.
Because you'd never expect a banana to be an undercover cluster grenade.
For all these games, it is illegal to sell or make them available to minors in Germany and it is illegal to advertise for it in any form. This includes the mere presence of a game in the shelves of a store.
A native cat to the Americas, the cougar can be found roaming in the mountains.
Cows are four-legged ruminant mammals, bred for milk, meat, or leather.
One of the smartest mammals on the planet and star of the Ecco the Dolphin games, dolphins live in the ocean and can perform a variety of tricks. Dolphins also have a particular fondness for fish.
Equines that go 'neigh' and tend to eat hay. Some are the stars of motion pictures. The truest of companions to many adventurers.
The use of everyday objects as weapons of destruction, often combination.
A spell or ability that summons a swarm of insects. It's often used as a distraction against bigger enemies.
Weapons with a mind of their own. Sometimes their personalities clash with the people wielding them.
Lions are currently the second largest felines on Earth. They are often referred to as the king of the jungle.
These munitions can be somewhat unstable. But this wildlife might just save your life.
Prinnies are a fictional race of peguin-like creatures in Nippon Ichi's Disgaea turn based strategy RPGs. They aren't especially bright, have a tendency to explode, and universally refer to everyone as "dood".
The shark is an underwater animal that is often stereotyped for its vicious killing of prey. In video games, they are used as enemies in underwater levels or a plot device used to keep the player away from the ocean.
Those creatures that go 'baa' and grow wool on their backs.
A race of rat-people found in the Warhammer universe. They are fully sentient, with their own religion, society, and technologies.
Snails are molluscs that leave a trail of mucus. Slugs are snails without the shell.
This small, fast creature will chase after, and viciously attack, anything its master wishes. Do not point towards face.
Living Locust land mines that can move fast to unsuspecting soldiers.
Whether it be a large frozen fish as a replacement for a sword or axe, or other fish-like bringers of pain, it is not unheard of for a main character to be able to wield the water-dwellers as some sort of absurd weapon.
The characters in the Worms series of games.
