Wow. I assumed that Gamespot was a shambling corporate zombie, but watching this just made me cringe with how scripted and unfunny it is.

I am watching On the Spot in Giant Bomb. My head is gonna explode!

I couldn't even bare to watch half of it.  Everyone on there is just so awful.

Haven't seen on the spot in well over a year definitely changed. Funny entry by Alex though.

That was awesome. OTS is garbage nowadays. I used to love that show.

I miss the old gamespot so much :(. Once Rich left I stopped going as much and now I don't go there at all. The new OTS seems so stale, once Alex took over the mic I noticed how bored the original guy sounded, like he had no energy. The host seemed pretty cheesy too, all his lines seemed forced. Now I'm all nostalgic for old OTS heh, I think I am going to go watch some old ones.

Man, Alex popping in really was like time suddenly went back a few years. Oh sweet nostalgia~.

Yeah. This new OTS iteration has no personality whatsoever. Drop the scripts or start taping the show.
 
And it's "TODAY: On the Spot"... like it's a fucking daytime show for women.

What is this Gamespot you speak of?  I've never heard of it.

On the Spot suffered when Rich Gallup left.  As much as I like Jeff, Rich was the better host, and Jeff seemed more at ease as the wingman.  But even with Gallup gone, Jeff and Ryan were so familiar with the format that the show transitioned hosts very smoothly. 
 
There's something to be said about Rich, Jeff and Ryan's ease in front of the camera which makes them a lot more likeable if you will because you are seeing them, not a performance like these new people.  Lark seems so uncomfortable, it makes me wonder who put him as a co-host...he does not belong in front of the camera

Wow, that's kind of depressing to see how shitty that show is.

Man I miss the old Gamespot...On the Spot used to be so awesome until the thing with Jeff happened.
 
The only ones I still like at GS now is Brian Ekberg and Ryan Mcdonald, I cant stand anyone else there

The hatred I see here for a website is disconcerting, yeah that is 'the site' and is the reason why this site exists but to just bash them as if they held any power or oppinion when it went down is stupid. Saying the new staff sucks is complety childish and takes away everything this site was created about. Obviously they needed to change the show because of the lack of interest was generated after the fact. It was not THEM who this THIS. That is was bothers me about this.

I wish GameSpot had the guts to change the name, because that soulless piece of audio/visual garbage is nothing like what On The Spot used to be. Though I know that no amount of bitching is going to bring the true OTS back, so we might as well just forget about it and go back to enjoying the great site that we have now.

On The Spot died for me at the Rich Gallup goodbye one. God that was so touching.

I love Giantbomb, but I still miss the old GS days. Haven't watched OTS in years, is Ryan McDonald still on the show?
Gonna take in some nostalgia and watch some old videos from GS :)

I like Tor Thorsen, I enjoyed his tenure as Hotspot host, as for the rest of the crew, meh. Neither like nor dislike them.
