A sub-genre of fighting games that focuses on more free controlling 3D movement and camera that follows the character, unlike other traditional 3D fighting games that still maintains the side view and side-scrolling orientation to the attacks.
Typically found in fighting games, combos are a series of strung-together moves.
Special/Super moves are similar inputs as auto-combos. all that requires that is required is holding down the button or use any move in one button.
This platforming-inspired sub-genre of fighting games often includes varied stage designs, the use of items and a lighter emphasis on damage-based KOs. Four or more players may join the mayhem though party-oriented elements may also be toggleable.
