    Overview

Cratermaze is a top-down maze game from Hudson in which the player must run around a maze collecting items while avoiding enemies. Finding all items unlocks the exit somewhere in the maze, which the player must reach before they can move on. New items and power-ups become unlocked as the player progresses in the game, and need to be grabbed along with the vital collectibles.

Cratermaze was originally named Doraemon: Meikyuu Daisakusen ("Doraemon: Great Tactics Labyrinth") and an official Doraemon licensed game. Like many localized anime licensed games in the early 90s, it was graphically edited for its US release to generic sci-fi heroes. The game also has strong similarities to Kid no Horehore Daisakusen, the original Arcade version of Nichibutsu's Booby Kids.
