Overview
Doan is an elderly man that lives in the year 2300 A.D. in Chrono Trigger. He is the elder of Arris Dome, one of the few remaining vestiges of human life in a world brought to ruin by Lavos. When first met, he and the other residents of Arris Dome, having had the spirit beaten out of them by the harsh living conditions they've had to suffer through, are baffled by the spirited nature of Crono and his friends. When the party returns, bearing seeds to grow into plants, he and the others begin to feel a sense of hope that had long been lost. In return for their kindness, Doan presents the party with the key to a jet bike he used to ride in his youth.
In the normal ending of Chrono Trigger, it is revealed that Doan is a distant descendant of Marle. It is not known what becomes of him in the Lavos-free future.
