Overview
G-Stream G2020 (later known as DELTAZEAL, or ΔZEAL) is a 2D sci-fi vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed and released by Oriental Soft Japan for arcades exclusively in Japan in 2002.
The game was known for its rocky history, as it was revealed by main programmer Toshiaki Fujino (a former programmer with KCE Japan) that the team contracted by Oriental Soft to develop the game was never fully paid or credited, with Oriental Soft going defunct shortly after the game's unfinished release. Fujino went on to form the studio Triangle Service and released a successor (XII Stag) that same year. As Fujino regained (or retained?) the rights to the game, G-Stream received some ports from Triangle Service years later under the name DELTAZEAL (often stylized as ΔZEAL) a decade later as part of the studio's ZEAL series.
It was first ported to the Xbox 360 on May 30 2013, released exclusively in Japan as part of the 5pb compilation Shooting Love. 10-Shuunen: XIIZEAL & ΔZEAL. It was then ported to the PC, with a digital worldwide release (via Steam) by Degica on October 16, 2015. It later received a port to the Nintendo Switch, published digitally by Triangle Service themselves, on August 3, 2023.
