The one in the city, it has a big crane in it and you could walk across a beam to get into a tall building.

Which is the floating rocky platform with two different towers at opposite ends?  I remember jumping off the edge of that to highjack a banshee.  That was so much fun.

It was all about Lockout.  That's a classic map if I ever saw one.  So many levels, and yet the map is still so small.  Perfect for those 6-8 man matches.

@jakob187: ugh, I'm probably the only one on the planet who doesn't like Lockout.
My fav maps were Ascension, and ummm, Ivory Tower?  I don't really remember the maps that was a long time ago.  Oh, and I liked Coagulation, cuz it's blood gulch.

That's Headlong -- one of my favorites for BTB matches.

My favorite would have to be Midship, with Lockout coming in a close second. I could play either of those maps for hours on end. Sanctuary, Turf, and Ivory Tower were awesome as well.

Lockout was easily my favorite. The definition of perfection in multiplayer maps.

Zanzibar was another excellent map.  Turf and headlong are some of my favorites as well. If halo 2 did anything right, it was the maps.

The last one i have fond memories of was Backwash (the swamp map). It was perfect for games of zombie. I had WAY too much fun with friends hiding in one of the bunkers, pushing the crates up to the entrance to block out the zombies from entering. Back to the wall, guns blazing, and laughing my ass off the whole time.

Damn, I really miss halo 2 online.

Among all the great maps that H2 had, Ivory Tower was probably my favorite. My goodness though, the number of excellent maps in Halo 2 far outnumbered Halo 3.

Lockout, Midship and Zanzibar were my favourites. Coincidentally the 3 maps that have been remade for Halo 3.
