Brilliant - Master Chief back with a bang!

Was unsure of what to expect with this game as I loved Halo then Halo 2 sort disappointed me slightly especially with the ending so when I bought this it was wih a sense of foreboding. Then I played it - AMAZING!!! It instantly picked up where Halo 2 left off except with improved graphics (I mean seriously improves) and larger levels with a greater variety of weapons.

I quickly completed the campaign on Normal to finish the story but without being challenged too much. The story was brilliant and I really got immersed in it which is something that hasn't happened in a game since MGS, MGS2 and MGS3. The story finishes with a bang without the disappointment of 2 which leaves you with a better feeling.

I then started on the multiplayer which again was superb. They have all the good old multiplayer games and a few new ones thrown in for good measure. I really grew to love this side of the game and as a consequence still haven't finished the campaign on Legendary!

However I think the best aspect of Halo 3 is the Forge part. I didn't really know what it was about 1st of all but then me and a couple of friends really got into it and it started to overtake the multiplayer. I really would recommend players getting into the Forge section as it is highly addictive.

Overall I think Halo 3 is the best in the series and Bungie really pulled out all the stops with this game which is up among the top titles on the Xbox 360.

I'll focus on several aspects in my review which I feel are important in any game, So let's begin. The Story. Continuing on from the end of Halo 2, which was very much disappointing, Master Chief had just arrived back at Earth to 'Finish the Fight', we see his ship crash into Earth's atmosphere and down in the jungle. You then find out that the Covenant have been excavating a huge hole in a part of the earth near New Mombasa. They've uncovered a huge Forerunner device, The Ark. This Ark is the...

Finishing the fight lives up to the hype, and then some. 0

Halo 3 is one of the most eagerly anticipated games ever made. The first Halo was a landmark achievement in not just first person shooter, but in gaming as a whole. It had incredible visuals, a great story accompanied by great music and voice work and absolutely perfect shooter gameplay. With so many gameplay innovations; such as the rebounding health meter and the limited weapon carrying it was probably the best console shooter since Goldeneye and probably the best console shooter, along with i...
