I tried searching the hamburger forum for this, but I could not find anything.
If I over looked it I am terribly sorry.
Anyways...
Inspired by this picture right here:
http://www.funnypictures.net.au/images/hamburger-and-chips-pizza1.JPG
a buddy of mine and myself decided to remodel and recreate it.
This is what we decided to use:
1. Premade pizza bun (cus we are lazy....you just roll this one out and put it in the oven)
2. Pizza sauce (whatever tickles your fancy, ours was a tomato based saus with minced meat and mushrooms)
3. Cheeeze....
4. Sliced ham
4. 5 x McDonalds Hamburgers, the regular ones....depickled...
Now, we made the sauce, put it on the rolled out unbaked pizza bun, placed the burgers ontop of that, and sprinkled cheeze and sliced ham on top of that again.
This was put in the oven on about 200 celcius, for roughly 20 minutes.
The end result did indeed look epic...
A pizza that really made you feel bad after ingesting, hell, just looking at the creation made me feel guilty.
It did not look right, it looked unatural.
But we just had to try it out.
Oh.....the things we do for science...
It will never happen again.
It wasn't that it tasted so horrible, it was just not worth the hassle. The money and time spent was just too much.
Making it, and all was fun, but eating it...nah.
The biggest issue was that we had not removed the bottom buns from the hamburgers, and thus these were reduced a soggy shell of their former not-so-soggy self, when they were placed in the pizza sauce.
It felt almost spongy between your teeth and didn't do much for my appetite.
After we had finished eating it, and my brother had gotten a taste as well, about 1/4 was left.
Guess who got home late that night, drunk as hell, and thought that would be a fitting meal?
Yup...
Anyways, am I the only one here who has ever tried this?
Have you? And if so, how did it go?
Hamburger
A hamburger is a hunk of ground beef served between two pieces of bun-configured bread. Hamburgers are often served with a variety of toppings and condiments. It is named for the region in which it was invented, not for the kind of meat (as is often mistakenly suggested).

Wow. I wasn't literally expecting hamburger patties to be on top of a pizza. Anyway, yeah, you should have removed the buns, and the ham seems a bit excessive. Okay, let's face it. The whole thing is excessive. Regardless, I sure am getting hungry.
I think I might get a picture of it. If my buddy kept it.
And if I were to make one again, then the bottom buns would be removed, as I said.
It's a learning process ;)
And I would probably go for homemade burgers as well...
Not that much of fan of McDonalds....or Burger King (compared to homemade that is).
Don't have any other chains like that here. Loads of fast food places, but not that many chains.
But then again, you can buy burgers at almost any kiosk and gas station here.
Along with hotdogs. Hotdogs are EVERYWHERE!
I've had a hamburger pizza before. It had ketchup instead of marinara sauce, it also had sweet pickles, mustard, ground beef, mozarella cheese and onions on it. It wasn't too bad, the only thing i took off it were the sweet pickles. Dill would have been better. :)
