The player could choose to fight under one of three banners: the Democratic Republic of Tarakia, the Republic of Morskoj, or the Kingdom of Sal Kar. Each location on the map of Neroimus could be battled on either against AI opponents are other clans to claim points for your nation (AI opponents yielded significantly less points): the first nation to reach the target point level for that location would claim it and have to defend it (again in terms of preventing the other two nations from gaining points). The fall of a capital city would see the nation disentegrate and everything the nation owned transferred to the one that captured it; players aligned to a fallen nation could seek asylum in one of the others or fight at the fallen capital to revive the nation. The Neroimus War ended when a nation captures every location on the map, or after two months where the most dominant nation would be awarded victory and the war reset.
