It's impossible to describe the impact GB has had on my life since I started following them in 08. Watching QLs every night before going to sleep is a habit that I've had for 13 years! (I often wondered if I'd be continuing that after getting married lol)
GB shaped me as a teen - being a dude from India I had no idea about all the things in pop culture, music, games and movies that GB and the forums exposed me to early on. I developed on a different trajectory from my peers, and my tastes in a lot of things were hugely influenced by GB. The DP ER led me to Twin Peaks, which became a huge influence on me and my tastes. Almost a decade later, I released my first game inspired by TP and DP (Rainswept) and am now a full time game dev - and GB has a huge hand in that.
And for over a decade I've thought about writing a long ass post about how GB changed my life, or sending them a mail on the Beastcast about it, but never did. Didn't expect to share it on a comment for a situation like this :(
Good luck to the duders and thanks for everything!
@claude:Heyy Claude :D I haven't posted on here in many years, but good to see you again (not sure if you remember me at all) Early years of the GB forums were some crazy times :) Good to see some other familiar faces here as well.
