I bought too many and need to be stopped.

Video games: Laika, Tiny Thor, Evil West, Terminator: Resistance , Alan Wake II, and discounted eShop cards.

Other stuff: TUMI accessories and some super cheap Ultra Boosts.

Sad things: a washing machine because my old one started leaking a bunch.

Grand a theft Auto V. It plays poorly. Character movement, shooting, melee combat, driving… I just couldn’t get more than a few hours in before I bailed on it the three or so times I’ve given it a try.

Dead Space 3, which I started when it came out and gave up on maybe after an hour. I think it’s really good! They refined the combat and it looks really good on SX. I couldn’t be more excited for The Callisto Protocol now.

Just give me Burnout 3 on modern hardware, please!

I’m proud of myself for resisting. I’ve spent so much money on gaming hardware in the past 10 months that I need to slow down.

The SX controller has a great d-pad and very satisfying textured grip. I prefer off-set sticks, so it's a given that I would like it more than the DS. But what surprised me is that I like it more than the Elite controllers. I have an Elite 1 and 2, and on both of them the shoulder buttons stopped working. There's no excuse for that given how much they cost. The SX controller is built differently and I don't foresee any shoulder button problems.

Horizon 5 is probably my most anticipated game this year, which is crazy considering they announced a meeting Metroid. But it looks SO GOOD. And like 4, it’ll be a game I can dip in and out of for years, and totally zone out to.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC and Sekiro on SX.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order surprised me so much it ended up as my personal GOTY. I hadn’t enjoyed a Star Wars game that much since KOTOR, so I’d all but given up hope on ever getting one that good again.

Jeff Grubb has so much Giant Bomb energy it’s like he was created for this.
