I've got a 4690K that I overclock to 4.0 ghz. I'm not sure if it is a placebo, but I seem to notice a performance increase when I switch between 3.5 and 4 ghz. Also, some games seem to run better, but once again, it's probably just a placebo.

I was kind of weirded out when the two human characters started kissing. It looked pretty real unlike a lot of other games, which was really weird to me.

Other than that, I think the characters look fine. It's nothing ground breaking, but they look alright. Maybe all that space travel has an affect on how their skin looks hanging off their body. Also, is it weird that I think Sara Ryder isn't ugly? A lot of people say she looks really weird, but she has this "girl next door" vibe going.

Like you, I previously only played during the open beta. I enjoyed it, but not enough to spend $60. I recently picked it up over the winter sale, and I'm really enjoying it. I also had a friend pick it up at the same time, so we've been going through it together. But I would definitely recommend it now. I picked up the base game for like $20, and then held off until the season pass was on sale, which I found recently for like $18.

This is something I'm interested in. I started playing Elite: Dangerous again for the first time in a year or so, and I never really made it that far in the game. Just did some basic missions. It would be nice to get with a crew and have some guidance.

@ralphmoustaccio: Thanks for the tip! Do you use growlers when you want to take beer to a friends house to share? Also, how do you carbonate?

@ralphmoustaccio: I would like to move to a kegging system eventually, I just don't have the room at the moment. I'm also still really new to this. I just bottled my second batch yesterday. I'm thinking in a year or two after I move to a bigger place I will look into a kegging system.

@turboman: Try pouring the canned beer into a glass. When you drink from a can, a lot of the taste comes from you inhaling through your nose. When your nose is up against the top of a can, that's why it tastes like aluminum.

I personally prefer to purchase cans because like others have said, it is cheaper to transport, easier to recycle, and keeps 100% of the light out. Even brown bottles let some sunlight in, which can skunk beer. I have been buying a lot of bottles recently, but it's because I started home brewing, so I'm reusing bottles. But if I have the option between bottles and cans, I go for cans.

A lot of craft breweries are switching to cans. I live in northern Colorado, which has an insane amount of breweries, and more and more you're seeing cans on the shelf. A lot of the stigma of canned beer comes from old cans which didn't have a plastic liner on the inside, so that metal taste would bleed into the beer. But now there is a liner on the inside that keeps the beer separated from the aluminum lining.

@artisanbreads: I think the game did a great job of capturing that feel of guerrilla warfare. I loved getting a 12 man squad and just rolling through areas of New York. And that soundtrack is one of the best video game soundtracks of all time.

This is a game that needs to come to GOG. GOG is starting to release older EA games, maybe this one will make it some day. Freedom Fighters is legitimately one of my favorite games of all time. I've been playing a lot of The Division recently, and some aspects of it remind me of Freedom Fighters.

I just got into home brewing! Made my second batch last weekend, and I'm going to bottle my first batch this weekend. It's something I've wanted to get into since I moved to Colorado, but the initial buy in can be a bit pricey when you don't have a lot of disposable income, and I like to spend my disposable income on gaming related things. I got some nice home brewing equipment for Christmas, so that was nice.

Other than that, I also like cycling, hiking, playing and watching sports.
