As someone who never really got into Hardcore(music) but does like wrestling it was very odd hearing the Rexplex name-dropped on this show, so many ROH shows in the early 2000s were at the plex. Im just so used to hearing it referenced as a wrestling venue it kinda slips my mind that a bunch of other shit happened there also, what a crazy story.
I keep watching hoping the next time it drops in its the "Mark, give me the zucc'" clip instead. So many memes were created just from that particular stream.
After Alex tweeted about this album early this year, I decided to finally sit down and listen to the entire thing. I felt physically ill afterwards in a way not even LuLu could replicate. It's pure dreck start to finish, and it's so goddamn long.
Yeah, people shit on Lulu but i feel like for how bad it is, by how creatively weird it is you can tell everyone was genuinely really into the process. Where as it feels like St Anger was really only something that one person was into making.
you are all right, the saddest thing about "Danzig Sings Elvis" is that it could've been a good album if he just did it while he still had a voice!! His style of singing has always been very Elvis, so honestly its so weird that he did this odd cash-in attempt by doing a Elvis album this late in his career when clearly hes always been a fan of that style of music. Hell if the Misfits were around in the 2000s instead of the 70-80s they would've been like the Horrorpops or something, just a full on Spooky Rockabilly band.
But i guess thats Danzig, he still thinks he has the voice.....somehow.
I know this ep is specifically about emoji but its odd there wasnt at least a brief mention of special unicode characters and alt-codes . in my mind ☺ ☻ ♥ were the 'original emojis'.
