lol I feel like they've played Trials games enough to learn that putting more power into the back wheels while on an incline will cause the vehicle to flip backwards. Frustrating, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

@brad So as to give a generic tip about the looping paths in 6-4 without explicitly giving the answer: Those small gaps in the three-level sections don't count. That is to say, e.g. after the hammer bro you don't need to go middle to upper like you were; as long as you're on top at the end it counts. The reason I mention this is, since you have the first part figured out already, it's not all that intimidating to do the rest. There are only six possibilities: (top, bottom) → (top, middle, bottom).

At least I think that's the case. There might be one more branch the game recognizes that I'm forgetting about. Regardless, I think that information will make it seem a lot more manageable.

I've used the Konami Morning Music as an alarm for years, so hearing it on stream is very strange.

(Also Super Burger Time is perfectly fine for what it is imo; the thing is, and here's the thing... Burger Time just isn't very good)

Is there a good resource for what Jeff is using to play PS2 games? It looked really sharp and I’d love to revisit some stuff myself.

He was trying to play it with the Play! core in Retroarch but wasn't having success; I'm guessing that after those attempts he loaded up PCSX2, since that's really the only other reasonable option there is for PS2 emulation.

Skater XL still appeals to me, but maybe not for their 1.0 asking price. Hopefully they still keep pumping out content for it, because I otherwise like what they're going for.

At least they could've done something like what Session was doing for their challenges. That game has you recreate famous skate lines, which I think is a pretty neat way to go about challenges in a skating game that's trying to go for a realistic approach. That said, Session is really cryptic about it and unless you have an encyclopedic knowledge of skate vids, you probably will have to look up what to do for all of the challenges instead of doing it naturally. But that game feels even more early access than this does, so maybe that'll fulfill my needs. It hasn't had many updates lately though because they've been completely redoing their physics engine.

For as janky and fucked up as it is, and as much as every decision they've made with that game for the last two+ years has the wrong one, PUBG is still the only battle royale game that's felt to me like it's been done right. A TTK that feels fair and encourages interesting battles, stupid physics garbage to entertain yourself and your teammates with while there's downtime, compelling gunplay from multiple ranges, etc.

I don't know, I'm truly not burned out on the idea of battle royale games because I think it's a valid mode for shooters in the same way that deathmatch or a Battlefield-style thing is, I just wish I had fun with any of them other than the most broken one there is. It's still the only one that has felt like there are legit stakes in each match. Shrug.

Peak form Jeff in this one.

But I'm gonna have to dispute the zooted in "Real Estate". It seems to be pretty common on online lyrics sites, but I'm damn near 100% sure that B-Real is saying "Cypress unit" instead of the "Cypress zooted" a lot of sites say. I think it's a pretty safe no weed Cypress Hill track.

In fact it's so clearly "Cypress unit" to me that I'm really unsure of where the "zooted" could have ever originated. Haven't investigated any alternate or live recordings. Will have to conduct some research.

I can't really speak to the gameplay, maybe it's great, but the thing about Slay the Spire is that it's such a nice package. All of the design is wonderful, it has a unique visual style comparative to most card games, the music is fantastic, all of the information is conveyed in a way dumbasses like myself can understand. This is super generic looking and sounding and completely inscrutable to observe (meanwhile, watching StS is the reason I bought into it). I don't know, it's hard to care about from watching this.

Can anyone point me toward some resources for making a MiSTER and the recommended parts/sites, etc? I've been thinking about doing it a lot lately, but it all seems pretty confusing insofar as what to get, so on and so forth.

Digital Foundry can inexplicably fawn over this thing as much as they want, but I don't get it. With exception to Loren and his sidekicks, I'd say the character models look artistically worse across the board. And who gives a fuck about modern post-processing effects and asset updates if a last-gen game isn't running at a steady 60 FPS? On a fucking PS4 Pro! Come on. Putting forth that every remaster should take note from this one when it doesn't even run well is insane to me.
